TastingSicilyUK’s tribute to songwriter Francesco De Gregori

Enzo Oliveri and Tasting Sicily Enzo’s Kitchen staff had the opportunity to share a Sicilian meal with Francesco De Gregori fans, including the famous singer and songwriter, at the Italian Cultural Institute in London today.

De Gregori met his audience on the occasion of a talk with journalist Peter Culshaw, followed by a canapé buffet for all the attenders. The menu included typical Sicilian street food such as arancine and panelle, bruschetta with traditional patè, salami and cheese.

We were happy to offer two free tickets  to the winner of our completion, courtesy of F&P group.

Enzo Oliveri, manager Luisa Ingoglia and co-CEO Andrea Scarpignato attended the concert, as well as lots of UK Italians and Londoners with a passion for Italian music. De Gregori, as known as “Il Principe” (The Prince) performed some of his most famous songs – “Rimmel”, “Buonanotte Fiorellino”, “Generale”, “Alice” among the others – and ended the concert together with his wife Alessandra Gobbi, known as Chicca.
